Personal Attendant/Live-In Roommate

Share housing with an adult with developmental disabilities. Receive hourly pay that goes toward monthly rent. The difference between rent and actual earnings is paid as a regular paycheck to cover utilities and personal expenses. Support adult with developmental disabilities in accomplishing daily living activities at the person’s home and/or in the local community. Help the individual to be a known and valued member of his/her local community.
Reporting to a Community Support Facilitator (CSF) who provides oversight of the entire staff assigned to work in a specific home, the attendant is directly responsible for personal care, training, and support to meet the goals and objectives of the individual he/she serves.
Qualifications: Previous work-related skill, knowledge or experience preferred. Must be a good listener, respectful, patient and open minded. Strong verbal, written and computer literacy skills required. Valid California Driver's License and valid insurance may be required under certain circumstances. Valid California Driver's License with proof of clear driving record (if required) and Department of Justice clearance are required prior to providing direct service to any individual. High school diploma required.

Personal Attendant
Support adult with developmental disabilities in accomplishing daily living activities at the person’s home and/or in the local community. Help the individual to be a known and valued member of his/her local community.

Qualifications: Experience preferred, but we will train the right person. Must be a good listener, respectful, patient and open minded. Strong verbal, written and computer literacy skills required. A car, valid insurance and a valid California drivers license are preferred, and required for some positions. High school diploma required.

Quality Assurance Facilitator (QAF)
Supervises and coordinates activities of personal attendants who support adults with developmental disabilities to accomplish daily living activities primarily at the person’s home and/or occasionally in the local community. Help the individual to be a known and valued member of his/her local community.
The Quality Assurance Facilitator (QAF) provides oversight of the entire staff assigned to work in specific client homes, ensuring the quality of the personal care and support to meet the goals and objectives of the individual that they serve. The QAF is expected to spend time with each client each week to maintain open communication and oversight of assigned case loads. The majority of work is accomplished in the field at various client homes.
Qualifications: High School Diploma (or equivalent) required, Associates degree or Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred, 2 to 3 years previous work-related skill, knowledge or experience preferred. Previous supervisory experience preferred, but Trinity CHANGE will train an individual with appropriate prior direct care experience in some circumstances. This position may be a promotional position for personal attendants who are interested in career advancement in the organization.

Community Support Facilitator (CSF)
Supervise and coordinate activities of personal attendants who support adults with developmental disabilities in accomplishing daily living activities at home and/or in the local community. Help the individual to be a known and valued member of his/her local community.
The Community Support Facilitator (CSF) provides oversight of the entire staff assigned to work in up to 21 specific homes, coordinating personal care, training, and support to meet the goals and objectives of the individual served.
Qualifications: Prior experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities a plus, knowledge of, or work in, a Supported Living environment preferred. The qualified candidate must have strong supervisory, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Strong literacy and computer skills are required. This individual must have own transportation and a valid California drivers license. Associate’s Degree in related field, or on-the-job experience in lieu of college credit will be considered. High school diploma required.
